So apparently sponsorship is wrong and corporations are forever guilty for past sins and given no opportunity to be better citizens? Why shouldn't sponsors get some considerations and exclusivity? Imagine how annoying watching the Olympics would be if there was no control of the onsite experience...Just picture GoDaddy bimbos making every event look like 30 Rock Plaza during the Today Show. Anyone who whines about sponsorship and exclusivity simply doesn't know how sports marketing works. McDonald's is offering veggie wraps and foods under 400 calories. The writer admits that they are evolving their menu...so what is wrong with using the Olympics to tout healthy products? Dow paid their settlement to the Indian government. How much of that cash went to victims versus lined the pockets of government officials in a notoriously corrupt country?

All you have to do is put your money where your mouth is. Want local production? Expect to pay double. Want to save the world? Donate half your salary to support a village. Want to give equal opportunities? Open your borders to all and set up ferry services to get them there. This is the human race, for better and for worse...

This company is full of it. They will only do the popular thing. They talk about diversity for the GLBT community, they talk about their commitment to racial and sexual diversity, they talk about global sustainability yet they are on the board of the most influential orgaization around that would destroy all of this. Boycott these clowns until they see the light!!!

I'm contacting you to suggest you stop funding ALEC. I avoid companies who do. Im in the market for new car and home insurance after leaving SAFECO, and will not consider State Farm as an option because of the ALEC funding. I should disclose State Farm was unlikely because it seems more expensive, but this means they wont be considered. However, a larger cost, here's a comment I saw from a State Farm customer over the funding of ALEC: "I contacted my agent and the corporate representative on the ALEC issue. State Farm shows no movement to disassociate with the "bill mill" group, so I disassociated us from State Farm, moving all my automobile and house insurance to other carriers. We were 50+ year customers of State Farm. No more. " ALEC is an organization that is anti-American, facilitating the already oversized power of large corporations over people. Many corporations have decided for whatever reason, in this boycott, to stop funding ALEC. State Farm should as well.

This article has a major mistake: The HSUS is NOT an animal welfare group. It pretends to be, so the donations keep rolling in, but its sole aim is to end all animal agriculture. Their steps towards animal 'welfare' are actually steps towards animal 'liberation', where no animal can be owned, restrained, incarcerated, exploited, and of course, eaten. Forced veganism on the populace. In the process, that means no cats or dogs. If you don't believe me, read what the HSUS says - their own words: http://www.naiaonline.org/articles/article/quotes-from-the-leaders-of-the-animal-rights-movement Rick Berman is protecting the industries who are threatened by HSUS. I don't like a lot of what I read about him, and those industries need to clean up their act, but if they are threatened they are going to fight back. Wouldn't you? Animal welfare groups now can't negotiate improvements for animals, because the doors are slammed shut, thanks to the HSUS and PeTA.
