  • Reply to: Scott Walker and Barack Obama Have the Same Campaign Slogan, Who is the Commie Pinko Now?   12 years 4 months ago
This wouldn't be the first instance Obama is too afraid to sign his handiwork. The war in Libya was called "Odyssey Dawn" an album by the band Yes. We can see the connections there which raise doubts that it was generated by a computer program. However, that was just a code name, not a campaign slogan. But really, what a dumb way to look for an answer to a question that's already been answered. Obama is a part of the neo-conservative movement. This movement adapted Marxist discipline to organizing. Every party member repeating the same line is Bolshevism, and it was recognized in Buckley's magazine, the leading neoconservative rag.
  • Reply to: Amazon's Membership Demonstrates Corporate Control of ALEC Agenda   12 years 4 months ago
Thank you Brendan Fischer for this article. I'm glad to hear that PCCC is bugging Amazon about their membership in ALEC agenda, which supports bills like "Stand Your Ground / Kill at Will," voter ID, anti-environmental legislation, and privatizing what's left of our education system. Hmm. If a legislator thinks to himself or herself: "If I'm running for reelection, am I going to vote against the proposals of the corporations funding my campaign? I don't think so." Well, that says it all, and that is what I was thinking about ALEC. Legislators snooze while corporations and lobbyists write our laws. Mr. Wright's observations and comments are RIGHT. Corporations are really in charge of ALEC. Keeping ALEC under public scrutiny is so important. Putting pressure on corporations to leave ALEC is what we have to keep doing.

Thanks for this article about Kaplan. I can hardly believe how deeply ALEC has penetrated into the education system. It is simply horrifying to read about the agenda they are trying to promote in our public schools and colleges. I was just going to ask whether you guys are going to ask Amazon to leave ALEC. And what about JC Penney, which I just read is a member. Please ask them to leave, if they are members.

There is a solution to dumping sludge from Los Angeles on Kern farms tat is both envionmentally friendly and profitable. Several patented processes pass hydrocarbons through an electric arc, breaking down all compounds and producing fuels in the process. One such system called Magnegas could locate within a wind farm, produce fuel that could be sold and or used to produce electricity when wind was not available, and generate an income stream in excess of $1million weekly. Why not end the legal wrangling and implement this simple solution to the benefit of the environment and the entities involved?

NPR takes money from Monsanto and runs Monsanto ads. I sometimes wonder about their objectivity anymore...
