It hasn't been proven but what is proven is that New York, France & Bulgaria have banned the practice of "Fracking" Obviously these authorities have researched before deciding to ban the practice.

Shotgun shells contain several pellets, not a bullet (i.e., a single projectile). Referring to them as such is not accurate. I disagree with the claim that guns and ammo, by their very nature, are specifically and inextricably linked to violence against women. I find this article's implication—that a woman's only plausible role in a situation involving firearms should be that of a victim—to be indicative of a helpless, archaic, patriarchal mindset. I do agree with the sentiment that pink shotgun shells are really, really, dumb.

I am the perishables buyer (not produce--- dairy, refrigerated grocery, bread, frozen) at a large natural foods coop. I have lots of certified organic products and a "plu" number that does not start with "9" is not and indication of whether the product is organic or not. I assume you mean "upc" by "plu", but that number there with the barcode, Organic Valley starts with 9, but, for example, Horizon starts with 7 and Stonyfield organic starts with "5". So, forget the tips, and look at the lable for the certified organic symbol or some other creditable statement concerning the nature of the ingredients.

I appreciate this comment about cancer and AWARENESS.

What is truly sad is that so many people--including celebrities---are woefully ignorant of the facts about cancer. There are alternative theory and treatment modalities available that are frequently successful, and certainly superior to the "Stone-age Medicine" junk that oncology has to offer

The Susan G. Komen organization (associated with the American Cancer Society and Revlon) is a terribly corrupt one, with a high percentage of their donations going to administrative costs, and with a strenuous refusal to consider alternative, cutting-edge cancer theory, research, and treatment. Please educate yourself by consulting the Cancer Control Society, and books such as:
