Karl Rove is a thief and a dangerous criminal. He helped Bush steal the election in 2000, and then he illegally manipulated the 2004 elections in 2004. This is treason of grave concern. having been intoxicated with impunity of his crimes, he tried to steal this election as well. He should be behind bars for a long time.

Direct democracy, enhanced by modern electronics is the inevitable wave of the future. It is a promising development that has long provided good government to the Swiss, Scandinavians and now to emerging Latin American democracies. Billionaires presently have the advantage of including their propositions on the ballot. But soon everyone will have equal ability to propose laws and have them voted up or down, not only every four years, but as an ongoing direct democratic process that can keep up with accelerating change.

The problem with Paul Ryan is that he really believes he is a financial expert, which he isn't, and believes his own lies, as documented by Fact Check and surprising by FOX News (which isn't news). During my 43 years of service with the US Army, I've seen enough of his type, who come and go, all reminding me of the drunk blow hard Joe McCarthy. Ryan will end up sitting on a curb somewhere, spitting down a sewer. In the meantime, We the People, should do to Ryan what Barry Goldwater recommended we do to Jerry Falwell, that being: " Kick him in his A--."

This is great news especially for Wisconsinites; but, all of us! An awesome defender of our rights/freedoms. Knowledge and experience which can drive us to badly needed reforms! Best to Mr. Pocan - We have your back!

Your comment only adds fuel to the notion that the divisions in our nation follow most closely along the lines of race. You obviously believe in white supremacy, a notion that seems to be quietly shared by more conservatives than would directly admit it. While I, personally, don't subscribe to either political party's dogma, I find the notion of white supremacy to be arrogant and societally despicable in its attempted enforcement, i.e. human slavery, Nazism, etc.. The Confederacy was an attempt to preserve the southern aristocracy in spite of the intent of the American Revolution that established the republic in the first place. The Old Dominion lost in 1865. The Nazis lost in 1945. Whites have no special right to rule the country or the planet. I'd suggest you get in very close touch with that reality before you spew more vitriol at those who are simply trying to find a way forward for all humans on the planet that refuses to prefer one group over another.
