Well, isn't this a fine mess. It certainly looks as if those conservatives who claim money is protected speech are out to prove that government can't be trusted. I can't figure out what Koch is up to. He claims to be against crony capitalism, but at the same time he favors unlimited campaign contributions which enable crony capitalism. Tis a puzzlement.
So much for privatization of education. Everything I hear is negative...stealing taxpayer's money, misusing money, leaving children alone to learn by themselves on computers and now the biggest crisis of all the crumbling of all the Wall Street backed schools.
As a taxed citizen who fought for better educational environments, only to be thwarted time and again by the very schools teaching my children, I still do not want my tax dollars going into charters. I should have the option to be a voice in my own public school systems, whether a teacher stays or goes, but I still want my tax dollars kept local in PUBLIC only. Things need to change, as Teachers have become quite arrogant about their power to keep their jobs in spite of being failures at teaching. But I still do not want my Tax Dollars going to Charters. Let us improve our Public Education Systems. Then we can "think" about other options. Not until then. Too much money, too many fingers in too many pots - the powers who back Charters are in it for the bucks, NOT for better educations.
Same question back to you, and why do you write this?
