What the conversation is really about isn't whether guns are used for harm or benefit. They are used for both.

It's about companies misusing the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign to promote sales.

I mean, come on guys, do they need to manufacture a pink handled gun, and advertise that they support Breast Cancer Awareness? Aren't thousands of entities already promoting awareness of this disease?

No one is saying that company owners of all varieties of products shouldn't support and donate to good causes, they're questioning the ethics of trying to boost company sales by ear marking products with the tell-tale pink color, and by making mention of it in their PR campaigns.

THAT is the true nature of this argument. The debate about firearms will go on for eternity.

I dont' find it misleading at all. What needs to happen is to continue to fight for a ban on GMO alfalfa for all of the obvious reasons. Saying that the government took it off of the table is meaningless. Of COURSE they did! Monsanto has the funds to infuence our Congress with heavy lobbying (corruption), and our FDA IS A JOKE! The whole world knows our FDA stands for nothing.

Agreeing to co-existence is suspect and ridiculous. What exactly, will a financial settlement to for us if a farmer's crops are contaminated? Really?

Does Monsanto have any sway in Europe? Australia? Japan? New Zealand? Our money-hungry corporations are what is destroying our environment, yet the rest of the 'first world' already has in place, protections for its citizens. So, the organic corporations are stepping down a notch, instead of ramping up the fight.

There's no way for organic consumers like us to respect Whole Foods. That store is chock full of pesticide-laden foods. They admit it openly. They stock organic products to attract green consumers, and then stock conventional to get regular folks business as well. Getting it from both ends does not desmonstrate a dedication to the environment, but instead , paints a picture of another money-hungry, PR savvy corporation. Now they'll try to negotiate with the wind and ask it not to blow GMO seeds onto organic farmer's land? The ONLY way to protect our organic farms is for GMO crops to be contained with walls. Figure that one out.

If you look a little deeper, you'd know that Julie Goloski brought the idea of this firearm to Smith & Wesson. Not the other way around. She did so because a loved one suffered from cancer and she wanted to make a difference in her sphere of influence. Could there be a more noble motive?

Women are the fastest growing group of shooters out there and this was Julie's attempt at reaching out to them in an empowering way. It's a fantastic tool for more awareness. Though it's true that violence against women is a problem, your stats are seriously skewed. And incidentally, what better way to protect women against gun violence than by arming them in a safe and knowledgeable manner? This firearm is a win on all fronts. Do a little more research into the field and you just might find out that guns are a very good thing. Especially this one.

"Besides, lots of people buy Bibles and crucifixes without any such expectation"

Lots of people buy those bracelets, I'm sure, without any such expectation either. It's just hot fashion because Shaquille O'Neill is hawking it and everyone on the block has one and hey, let me have that color because it matches my shoes or my hat.

People buy Bibles and crucifixes for the same mass appeal mentality whether they "truly" believe or not.

So there goes that argument of yours too.
