A number of organizations concerned with maintaining the integrity of journalism have established web pages that monitor current efforts to limit government freedom of information as part of the war on terrorism. They include the following:
- Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) has a Freedom of Information section.
- The Poynter Institute has compiled a list of links to relevant news stories
- OMB Watch lists government services that have pulled information since the attacks
- The Electronic Frontier Foundation lists websites that have been shut down and other "Chilling Effects of Anti-Terrorism" on free speech
