The one-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United decision passed last month, and the Center for Media and Democracy has remained dilligent in countering and reporting on the decision’s impact, and highlighting that information on our Corporate Rights Portal.
CMD’s Executive Director, Lisa Graves, spoke at the People’s Summit in Washington DC (see her on C-SPAN), and the Center for Media and Democracy and other public interest groups delivered over 750,000 petitions calling on Congress to amend the Constitution and reverse the Citizens United decision.
CMD has been consistently updating its Corporate Rights Portal highlighting issues about the response and impact of the Citizens United decision. The page features information on “corporate rights” decisions currently being considered by the U.S. Supreme Court, campaigns by Move To Amend and other partner organizations, efforts by Common Cause to vacate the decision on conflict-of-interest grounds, the impact on 2010 midterm elections, information on how to amend the constitution, and more.
Please bookmark our “Corporate Rights Portal” and stay on top of these important and relevant corporate rights issues!
