But then what about all the funding that goes to the Left Wing???"
Sounds like you haven't snapped out of it yourself.
It's not 'union busting' it's 'Public' union busting...
Actually it's total union busting, with public employee unions the target of the moment because the right-wing generalized anti-government ragging has made them the most visible and the most vulnerable. Once they're gone, there will be nothing left standing between the private sector unions and the corporate lords who want to be rid of them.
Should one assume that by making the comments you have against Ian Murphy, you are justifying the alledged actions of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, which if taken at face value also implicate the Koch brothers, David and Charles. While it may be argued that Ian Murphy may be in breach of laws pertaining to identity theft, if it can be shown he gained from this act, your other comments referring to Ian Murphy being; "a liar, a trickster, morally bankrupt, filth-mouthed man bent on destroying a man with trickery..., cannot be morally, nor I would argue, legally justified. I would suggest Ms McLaughlin, that you re-consider the facts and reveiw the implications of such rhetoric in light of what may be shown to be serious issues of influence of elected officials that falls foul of established legal guidelines.
Whilst not condonning the actions of manufacturers in down-sizing packaging, surely we all have both a personal as well as a social responsibility to be aware of what we are purchasing. This should not only include packaging/marketing methodolgies; we should consider corporate responsibilties of the manufacturers/suppliers, the physical content of what we are purchasing, and sustainability factors. Without consumers buying, manufacturers cease to exsist. Therefore the ultimate power is in our hands, should we accept the responsibility to do so.
The Canadian bank mentioned above is Bank of Montreal, which owns Chicago-based Harris Bank. Harris management will take over M&I operations when the sale is complete. The sale of M&I is still pending, but is scheduled to close in the 3rd quarter of 2011. I am a Harris customer. I sent a message to their customer service dept. and asked about M&I's support of Walker. I told them that if Harris supports Walker, I would close my accounts there. That earned me a call from the president of my local branch. She explained to me that the bank itself cannot support political campaigns. However, M&I passed the hat for Walker. I told her that this level of involvement with the Walker campaign is a public embarrassment to Harris. We certainly can't blame Harris for what M&I is currently doing, but they are definitely in a position to lean on M&I senior management and tell them to stop collecting money to support fascists. If you're a Harris Bank customer, contact them and tell them you'll be watching what they do when Walker faces the inevitable recall election. That, and tell them to show the door to Kuester and his management team. We can vote with our wallets, too.
Yes, they are guilty of funding many conservative organizations, and many Neo-conservative institutions. But then what about all the funding that goes to the Left Wing??? We will get nowhere with this left-right paradigm thinking!!! Snap out of it!!! It's not 'union busting' it's 'Public' union busting, and its been needed for along time! It's just unfortunate that it has to happen now when everybody is suffering because of Both parties Neo-Liberal agenda. Get some knowledge, and stop the ignorance!
