As fires rage in southern California, the U.S. media devoted extensive coverage to the refugees displaced by the disaster and even to the fate of horses and other farm animals. LinkTV uses the occasion to compare and contrast this coverage with a far more serious refugee problem that the U.S. news media have been ignoring in Iraq, where the United Nations High Commission on Refugees estimates that the war has driven some 4.4 million people from their homes.
