Democracy's Edge: Choosing to Save Our Country by Bringing Democracy to Life

Both events are at the Pres House, 731 State Street (off UW Library Mall), in Madison, Wisconsin. For more information, call 608-260-9713 or email dianeATprwatch.org (replace "AT" with @).

In keeping with Lappé's life-long focus on food and the roots of democracy, these events benefit two Madison-based non-profit groups:

  • Family Farm Defenders works to create a farmer-controlled and consumer-oriented food system, and to support economic and social justice for farmers.
  • The Center for Media and Democracy is the only U.S. organization dedicated to investigating and exposing deceptive public relations and propaganda campaigns, and to strengthening public interest reporting.
