I had spent quite a bit of time inside the Parker house just before it sold to the Ryans. That house needed TONS of updates. The plumbing and electrical was crazy old, the kitchen was from the 70s, the bathrooms all needed work, the garage was tiny, and the yard overgrown and shabby. I recall thinking that whoever buys this house has a TON of work ahead. It is a large, gorgeous old house but I'm quite sure the Ryans had to drop a fortune to fix it up. Many of the old mansions in Janesville are dilapitated so I give the Ryans credit for purchasing an old beauty to fix up rather than building a new McMansion in the burbs. Btw, I am not a fan of Paul Ryan.
If you go to Bill Moyers web site ( just type in 'Bill Moyers') there is an entire interactive site that is devoted to legislators around the country that are eithe r members of ALEC, have spoken at one of their functions, or won an award from them for some reason. It is cool because you just click on your state and it comes up. I think the actual page is called something like sourcecode.org
I'm in Milwaukee, and I'm pretty sure some of those "congressional" ads are running here as well. FYI, Milwaukee and Janesville have completely different media markets. It would make as much sense for Gwen Moore to run an add over in Janesville, by which I mean it would make no damn sense.
