You realize that humans have canine teeth for ripping and tearing flesh, right? How arrogant your moral superiority is. I agree that animals deserve respect and their sacrifice to the evolutionary hierarchy should be as humane as possible, but they are on this earth to eat and be eaten. Period.

June 2 The Silencing of Hector Valenzuela is a story that increases in grimness the farther along I read. It starts off with one bad news item about insects, then bad news about academic superiors, then bad news about Monsanto, then bad news about the future of agriculture in the world, and on and on. The only good news is Hector and Cynthia Franklin. As I see it Hector and Cynthia have their Bonobo DNA/Genes turned on and working fine. The rest of the characters can only muster their Chimpanzee DNA/Genes to thwart enlightenment. To me this is such a sad hopeless story. It reminds me of the plight of humanity. Stay Tuned. Federal debt is over 18 trillion dollars. Is it fair to leave a bankrupt country to young Americans? Is it smart to run up enormous debts? Who will be hurt the most in a federal default, the poor and those dependent on government? Do we want to end up like debt-ridden Greece with 25% unemployment?

They are intentionally ignorant and cannot in generally be educated. They are generally the kind of people who "do what needs to be done" for the interests of the wealth.

There is a place in this world for GMO foods. It is not the place that greedy and uncaring corporations would have it be though. Genetic modification for the sole purpose of profit is unacceptable. Any artificial genetic manipulation should be for a specific need, well researched, and well tested. The testing should be conducted with the entire environment in mind as well. We only have one world and we shouldn't be polluting it in any way. That includes genetic pollution. What I find frightening is the "shotgun approach" to the creation of genetically manipulated organisms. Create enough of them and one will certainly be profitable. But what are we creating in addition to that single desirable one?
