The CEO of United Healthcare makes $66 million /year. What in the world does he do to earn 66 million dollars? If he got paid a measly $2 million (sarcasm) instead, he could hire 128 employees at $50k /year. 128 families could be a little better off. Greed.

I went for a flu shot. Assistant checked my blood pressure. My doctor came in, asked how I was and sent in another assistant to give me the shot. Bill to the insurance company for the salutation: $150. Plus an additional $80 for the shot. A dermatologist took off a minuscule skin tag and sent it to biopsy without telling me or getting my authorization to do so. Cost: $339 for the biopsy. It was not necessary. Simply a pure profit driven money grab. The doctor doesn't seem to care. I am simply the sucker paying a trumped up bill. Not gonna happen. The system is broken. Insurance is not the way to treat the human body. It works for inanimate objects; my car, my home. This network of who you can and can't see is also insane. We need single payer.

I'm so glad that Mr. Fischer is using his talent and intelligence to counter the arrogant purposefulness of the Kochs and other billionaire princes and nobles of the realm. We are being enticed down a path lined with primrose that will turn into brambles in the end, and you can rest your case on the fact that the princes will not be among those lost and isolated.

No, Lisa, stop hiding all the doctors doing billing fraud, as also refusing to diagnose. Halls time is up, as patients are becoming aware.

Chester, the good news is that this "carbon fee" gets turned immediately and directly into a payment of money to people like you. This fee is not thrown into the bottomless pit of the government. Every penny is paid directly to the citizens. Yes, if you use a lot of carbon products you may end up spending all your "prize money" on gas and things like that. But probably, judging from your comment, you would end up a winner after this fee. Also, this fee starts small and rises over time, so by the time the fee is high the clean cheaper energy sources would be already established. So, I believe you don't need to worry at all.
