A New Mike for Perino to Stand Behind [1]

President Barack Obama [3] has announced his intention to nominate Dana Perino [4] as a member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors [5] (BBG). Perino, who is currently Chief Issues Counselor for the global PR firm, Burson-Marsteller [6], and a commentator on Fox News [7]. Perino was spokesman for President George W. Bush [8] between 2007 and 2009. BBG is the body that oversees several U.S. funded international broadcast channels, including Voice of America [9], Radio Sawa [10], Al Hurra [11] and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty [12].The board is comprised of four Democrat appointees, four Republicans appointees and the Secretary of State.
